Champion of Free Enterprise Banquets

The 2010 Banquet was graciously hosted by the Pikes Peak Sales Club in Colorado Springs, CO at the Colorado Springs Masonic Center. The evening included a cocktail reception, a delicious dinner, and a truly moving awards cerimony. Each champion was hearlded with a narrative about their business which was accompanied by a slide show with pictures photographed by our National President Chuck Roeseller. Each winner took the potium to express their thanks and what the award meant to them. The Pikes Peak Club and all of the people who put the event together deserve a big thank you for all of their efforts.

The 2009 Banquet was held at the El Jebel Shrine Event Center. Our District Governor Helen Anderson hosted the evening which included a cocktail reception with music from Gene Morris, dinner, and a special award ceremony for the Champions. Introductions recognized past and present National Officers, District Officers, and Board Members. Club Presidents presented the awards along with a narrative about the Champions' businesses and accomplishments. The Champions then had an opportunity to say a few words and get their picture taken by Chuck Roessler. The evening ended with the drawing for grand prizes which were donated by Gail Jensen and Frank Pryor. Of course the crowd couldn't leave without the excitement of the Sales Pros cheer. The Champions expressed their appreciation and commented on how honored they were to recieve recognition for their hard work and successes.

The 2008 Banquet was again held at the El Jebel Shrine Center and included dinner dancing and a wonderful program which highlighted outstanding leaders in our community. Twilight dancing under the golden stars above the dance floor was accompanied by the sounds of a live Big Band and swing orchestra which made the night magical. The added excitment of the mystery prize board rounded out the evening as guests took home some fabulous prizes. Once again Sales Pros added to its list of true Champions of Free Enterpise.

The 2007 Banquet theme was "Dancing with the Stars". Eight deserving entrepreneurs were honored as Champions of Free Enterprise for their successful building of a business and for their community service! There were ballroom dance demonstrations provided by area dance studios. There was dancing after dinner. Ladies were encouraged to wear ballroom gowns and gentlemen were encouraged to wear tuxedos. El Jebel Shrine Center has one of the best ballroom dance floors in Colorado!

The 2006 Banquet was held at Coors Stadium and had a baseball theme. An elegant dinner was served to the guests who sat in a multi-level environment. The Coors Stadium scoreboard announced and welcomed the party and then scrolled the names of the champions for an hour. A pullcard prize board was a popular innovation in 2006. People could donate $25, $50, or $75 and pull off an envelope with an instant prize worth approximately what was donated as well as a chance at 6 grand prizes such as a roundtrip ticket on Frontier, a first flying lesson in a small plane, and a mountain bike. The eight Champions had a great time and felt thoroughly honored at the event. Pictures from the event are below.

The 2005 event featured a "jungle-themed" dinner and entertainment. There were also silent and live auctions. The high point of the event was the video presentations highlighting the businesses and accomplishments of eight entrepreneurs who received the Champion of Free Enterprise awards.
